Injects fluid cleanly into pressurised systems

The Primalec Concertina is a completely new cartridge in the form of a bellows. Concertina incorporates a non-return valve, and is designed to inject a fluid into any closed system, whether pressurised or not. It may be pre-filled with Glo-Leak tracer fluid, lubricating oil, or performance additives like ExtraCool - indeed any primary or secondary fluid.

Concertina can be used with your choice of Primalec injector tools - and even works by hand when injecting against little or no system pressure.

How it works

As pressure is applied at the rear, the cartridge itself compresses, or ‘ concertinas’, so it requires no piston to force the liquid out into the system to be charged. This also prevents air from entering the cartridge.

When the liquid is fully discharged, the cartridge is compressed down to less than 1/4 of its original size and is easily disposed of. For low pressure systems (up to the force that the human hand can generate) there is no need for an injector tool. For medium pressure systems (up to 7 Bar or 100psi) and for accuracy, we have developed a torque injector tool (see picture of prototype above).

Hold the tool in one hand and load the cartridge into the injector. Attach the cartridge nozzle to the injector hose, and connect the other end to the pressurised system. Turn the torque handle until the required amount is measured on the graduated scale.

Finally disconnect it from the system. Wipe any residues from the hose connections. For high pressure systems (up to several hundred psi) , we have developed a suck-and-push injector tool.

The Primalec Concertina is a completely new cartridge in the form of a bellows.It has no piston, so there is no opening at the rear. Each pre-filled capsule incorporates a non-return valve, so there is no mess when you connect it via the charge hose to the system. As pressure is applied with the injector tool, the capsule ‘concertinas’, forcing liquid into the A/C. Once empty, the capsule remains neatly collapsed, for compact,environmentally friendly disposal.
