- It
will be illegal to use virgin HCFCs
after 31 December 2009 for the maintenance
and servicing of refrigeration and
air-conditioning equipment- the regulation
will not allow stockpiling these products.
- With
current legislation authorised/reclaimed

2009 phase-out up until the end of December

date is subject to change and should
not be relied upon.
HCFCs and blends covered by this legislation:-

Zero ODP 'drop in' replacements
These products may well be the solution
for customers who wish to keep their
existing equipment running on the same
oil type but with a zero ODP refrigerant.
They have comparable (but not necessarily
equal) levels of performance and efficiency
with the minimum of capital investment
compared to replacing the equipment.**
B-GAS offers
a range of replacement options for
many applications, as follows:-
R437A - ISCEON MO49Plus
R426A - RS24 |
Both
of these products are replacements
for R12, although most of this
work is now complete in the UK.
They can replace HCFC blends such
as R409A and R401A.
|
R417A
- ISCEON MO59
R424A - RS44 |
Both
of these products are replacements
for R22, primarily in direct expansion
AC applications under 15kW capacity
(both capillary and TEV systems). |
R422D
- ISCEON MO29
RS45 |
Both
of these products are replacements
for R22 in various applications
including water chillers. |
R422A
- ISCEON MO79
R428A - RS52 |
Both of these products are replacements for R502 or HCFC blends used for applications
such as R408A and R402A. May be suitable as a low temperature R22 replacement.
Similar performance to R404A and R507. |
Act now as time is running out!
Remember: it is illegal to stockpile
virgin HCFCs for use after 1 january
2010. If you do nothing you will be
dependent on obtaining supplies of
reclaimed R22. Wholesalers and distributors
may begin running down stock EU EDITION
of HCFCs and blends containing HCFCs
during 2009.
**Application-dependent. |
